Day 13 - October 13, 2005
Iím outside of Melbourne, Florida on A1A heading up to Cocoa Beach. There really is one. It wasnít just on ďI Dream of Jeanie.Ē My toe is completely recovered, lost about half a toenail. Still canít stand the heat and canít wait to get out of Florida. Now starting at 4:30 a.m. and going about five or six hours till it gets really hot, doing 10-15 miles a day. Stayed with Dave Herbigís folks in Vero Beach, and then Jim and Mary Jane Corless joined me for half a day. It was really cool to see them. Have been on A1A near the beach for a few days. Stopped in a fire station to cool off after Floridana Beach and the dispatcher there said she grew up in Fairbanks. After Cocoa Beach, Iíll move back inland to Hwy. 1 for about 30 miles to get around Cape Canaveral.
